MediaCom Engage Conference, Edinburgh 10th May: Making Sport Pay

In this Olympics year, MediaCom are pleased to announce a half day conference exploring how sponsors, rights holders and media owners use sport as an effective marketing medium.

The conference will take place in the impressive Hawthornden Lecture Theatre at the National Galleries of Scotland at The Mound, Edinburgh on the morning of Thursday 10th May 2012, 9.00am - 1.00pm. The conference will conclude with a Q&A session giving everyone the opportunity to quiz the panel.

Tickets are priced at £25 (£10 for Marketing Society and IPA members). Numbers are strictly limited so please book early to avoid disappointment. Tickets can be bought from the MediaCom Edinburgh website.

Nathan is part of the European sponsorship team within the world's largest entertainment business, AEG; specialising in the sale of major sponsorship and naming rights opportunities with the group's European stadium and arena portfolio.
Nathan joined AEG in 2005 as part of the start-up team at The O2 as AEG set about transforming the 'white elephant' that was the Millennium Dome into the world's most popular music and entertainment venue. Nathan now leads AEG's strategic partnership with the SECC in Glasgow, working on developing The Hydro - Scotland's new 12,000-seat national arena which is set to open in the summer of 2013.

With more than 20 years of experience in events and broadcast sponsorship spanning roles with media agencies, media owners and rights holders, Richard now runs the UK KantarSport office as well as driving international development and co-ordination in the sponsorship arena.

MediaCom SPORT help manage relationships with key sporting bodies and provide clients with first hand access to opportunities to help them meet their ever-more complex marketing challenges in four key areas of service: Strategic advice, rights negotiation, rights activation and measurement .

Before joining MediaCom Sport at the start of 2011, Rory worked with IMG Media and Parallel Media Group on media rights sales for rights holders including The FA Premier League, the All England Club and the European Tour. Since joining MediaCom, Rory has helped establish MediaCom SPORT across our network as well as working on sponsorship projects for clients including VW Group Dell UK.
