Most of Belgium's major ad agencies, including the likes of JWT, BBDO, Saatchi & Saatchi and McCanns have commenced on a one week virtual strike in protest at the way Belgian clients conduct pitches.
Many Belgian advertisers have failed to adhere to an indsutry charter that sets norms for agency pitches inclduing pitch costs and shortlist numbers. The agencies have retaliated by replacing their website homepages with one paragraph each of an open letter to Belgian advertisers.
