TED Talk - Listening to Global Voices

With some interesting observations about our obsession with infrastructure (Twitter/Facebook and other shiny new toys) over content arch-geek Ethan Zuckerberg makes a plea for us to help widen the world wide web which, paradoxically, appears to have made us more not less local in our outlook. Basically, we seek out and interact with people the same as us online in exactly the same way we do offline.

No surprises there perhaps. But with the challenges facing the global community at present financially, environmentally and culturally we wonder whether there's a profitable role for brands, especially those with a global reach, to be come bridges between different cultures.

Now there's a CSR strategy with some ambition.
