Nike - Write the Future
Those of you not on Twitter regularly (and let's face it, that's probably quite a large proportion) may not have noticed that the above Nike ad has been getting quite a lot of "bird of mouth" (and, no, we didn't just make that phrase up).
It's been teased over the last few weeks and is due to break during tomorrow's Champion's League Final.
Whatever you think of it personally, 700K views in 4 days with a 99% "like" rating is pretty impressive.

Yahoo Secures Online Premiership Rights
Yahoo have secured exclusive UK online rights to the Premiership for the next three season. The deal will put five-minute highlight packages of every match on Yahoo.co.uk.
Highlights will be available from midnight on Sunday after weekend matches and at midnight the same day for midweek fixtures. Yahoo! will also own the rights in the UK to syndicate all or part of the Premier League highlights content to third parties, allowing Yahoo! to put together advertising packages for major brands. We imagine online betting companies will be all over this opportunity to access premium video content.
Richard Scudamore, chief executive of the Premier League, said: "The way fans access Barclays Premier League action is growing ever more diverse and sophisticated. The online highlights package is an important medium for supporters of all our clubs to be able to follow match action."
This is a bit of a surprise as most were expecting Sky to re-secure the rights after it was widely felt that Virgin failed to suitably promote (or sell) their EPL assets so it will be interesting to see if Yahoo! can do a better job.. Either way, it launches Yahoo! firmly back into the video market from a fairly low current position.

Valentines Day Massacre
What to do when Valentines day falls on a match day?
Nice piece of content work from Puma just in time for Valentines day.

More gimmickry from Burger King
BK once again proves that there is such a thing as a bad idea.
Hot on the heels of creating the world's most expensive burger and Flame perfume (tagline: 'when fire meets desire') comes the latest marketing department disaster - a new shirt sponsorship deal for Spanish Premier Club Getafe CF.

The expression on the player's face says it all. The reaction of the fans has been equally... unenthusiastic:
"I am actually speechless, no words can describe this atrocity."
"Help me, my eyes are actually burning."
Take note, BK.
PS Thanks to Sean for the tip-off, without whom I would never discover these football-related gems.
